John and Beth Magnin are proud to have the
opportunity to serve the citizens of Punta Gorda as
publishers of the Punta Gorda Life an online
community resource.
John
has been licensed to practice law in California since 1988. His law
offices have handled issues in a variety of areas including Family Law, Business,
Construction, Estate Planning, Entertainment and Bankruptcy.
Mr. Magnin has authored a self-help legal guide
entitled "San Diego County's Practical Guide to
Divorce." The book sold well at major Southern
California bookstores and was selected as reference
material for the San Diego County Law Library.
He is also the founder of The Magnin Mediation Group
and The Center for Mediation Studies.
In addition to the
above: John
has been an entrepreneur, owning and
operating successful retail businesses, including a bookstore and a bakery/cafe. He
is also a
commercial web site designer, has earned his private pilot's license and loves to sail the warm Florida
waters with his wife, Beth.
He
would appreciate hearing from you personally. Please feel free to contact him with any questions or
comments.
Beth holds a bachelors degree in sociology, with an
emphasis in Gerontology, from Georgia State
University. She has a wide range of management
experience within the food and banking industries. Beth started the Once in a Blue
Moon Bakery and Cafe in Cary, NC, a community of
over 100k residents. She grew-up in the Cary area
and remembers when there was only one traffic light
and barely 3,000 people living there. With her husband, Beth
built the business to become a major part of the
downtown area of Cary. She made several guest
appearances on the Better Living radio talk show and
became well known for her business success.
Beth brings strong people skills, a superior
customer service orientation and her enthusiastic
entrepreneurial spirit to the Punta Gorda Life
online publication.
In 2002, the Magnins sold the bakery/cafe and purchased a home in
Punta Gorda, where they now live year around. The move has been a
very pleasing one. The friendliness of the people, the beauty of the
surroundings, the abundance of water and wildlife, the
community's appreciation of it's
history and it's desire to move forward to an even better future has
provided the Magnins with more than they could have ever hoped
for. They are proud and please to be able to call Punta Gorda their home.....
