this preliminary indication, it becomes more
apparent that the City needs to revitalize our
commercial tax base in order to ease the tax burden
on the residential property owner.
Employees will be getting their City identification
cards this week.
Practice presentations were held in the Emergency
Operations Center at the Public Safety Building on
the topics to be included in the June 8th
Workshop with City Council. Topics to be covered
are: Website Redesign (Karen Johnson),
Emergency Operations (Chief Rinehart),
Project Implementation Method of Delivery
(Dennis Murphy), Laishley Park (Rick
Keeney and Calvin Alvarez, Department of
Environmental Protection), Public Works /
Utilities Campus (Benjamin Alexander, FEMA
Long Term Recovery Coordinator) and Community
Sailing Center Site Selection (Howard Kunik).
Agenda packets for the Workshop will include
material to be presented for the June 8 meeting.
And
on a final note, our Human Resources Director, Phil
Wickstrom, wowed us with his use of a word for the
day - ASSIDUOUSLY.
