focused on the Punta Gorda area as of yet. Based on this preliminary indication, it becomes more apparent that the City needs to revitalize our commercial tax base in order to ease the tax burden on the residential property owner.

Practice presentations were held in the Emergency Operations Center at the Public Safety Building on the topics to be included in the June 8th Workshop with City Council.  Topics to be covered are: Website Redesign (Karen Johnson), Emergency Operations (Chief Rinehart), Project Implementation Method of Delivery (Dennis Murphy), Laishley Park (Rick Keeney and Calvin Alvarez, Department of Environmental Protection), Public Works / Utilities Campus (Benjamin Alexander, FEMA Long Term Recovery Coordinator) and Community Sailing Center Site Selection (Howard Kunik).  Agenda packets for the Workshop will include material to be presented for the June 8 meeting.
