American
Business Women’s Association (ABWA)
Local Chapter: Punta Gorda
Charter Chapter #1629 Linde Burton, President
Facts & Figures: Did you know
from 2000 to 2010, women’s share of the workforce is
expected to increase 15.1 percent, from 46.6 percent
of the workforce, to 47.9 percent, even as men’s
share of the work force decreases by 9.3 percent in
that same time period?
It should not be a surprise in
this economy that women will not only be asked to
lead, but expected to lead thus making the
opportunity to grow both personally and
professionally. ABWA has made a difference in so
many women’s lives. I know it has in my own personal
life – why not share the impact with other
professional businesswomen, a local student that you
know in our community or a neighbor who has just
recently retired or has been retired for several
years? Each and every woman has a unique talent
that can be shared with others towards that road to
success.
