The move to the PGICA
building will improve search and rescue
capabilities in the Charlotte Harbor area
and provide communications between the
Center and various emergency response
resources when the building is being used as
a community Refuge of Last Resort. It is
planned that the Auxiliary will also use the
building for classroom instruction to
support boater safety programs.
The shared use program is part of the
Association’s commitment to the community in
its role as a non profit 501 (c) (3)
organization. The new facility should be
|
available for occupancy by mid
summer 2005. In the meantime the Association
continues to operate out of it’s old facility
located at 1800 W Marion Av. For additional
information concerning the Association and its
activities call (941) 637-1655.
